Meet Sabine Lehnhardt: Yoga Teacher at This Is Yoga
What was your inspiration for becoming a yoga teacher?
I originally signed up for a 200hr Yoga Teacher training to learn more about what yoga was really about. Why did it make me feel good and calm? As I started learning more about the body, the energetics and the yogic texts, I felt this call to share the tools I had learned with others and to spread the medicine that I found within yoga.
Your favourite yoga pose if you have one?
I find a lot of healing and grounding in the “basic” and “simple” yoga poses. Probably one of my favourite poses are child’s pose, tadasana and warrior two.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I love to see the shift in energy and the shift in the mind of my students. I get a sense of fulfillment when I see a student feeling more relaxed, with a clear mind and regulated nervous system leaving the classroom. But what I love the most is when students take the teachings of yoga off the mat to live a richer and more fulfilled life.
HOW CAN WE FIND YOU ON SOCIAL?

About SABINE:
Since Sabine was a child, she has been interested in spirituality. When she was 15 years old, Sabine travelled to India for the first time which felt like an initiation into the world of yoga and Hinduism. It wasn’t until a few years later that Sabine tried her first yoga class in a studio in Sydney. This one class changed Sabine's perception of yoga completely and left her feeling at ease and relaxed for the first time in a very long while. Over time, Sabine felt a deep desire to learn more about what yoga really is and how yoga can positively impact our lives. She followed her intuition and started studying asana, pranayama, meditation, embodiment, somatic practices and spiritual life coaching. Sabine’s classes focus on the connection between body, mind and breath and are designed to reconnect with your body and teach you tools to better meet the challenges of life.
