This Is Yoga FAQ's

General questions:

  1. How do I book?
    We have comprehensive instructions here.

  2. Can I buy a Gift Voucher?
Of course! Click here to buy one.

Studio questions:

  1. Do I need to bring a mat?
Please bring a mat along or you can buy a mat from reception. We currently don’t hire out mats due to Covid-19 restrictions. (Updated as of June 2020)

  2. Are there bathrooms?
We have bathrooms at both studios, and showers at both studios.

  3. Is there parking?
There’s free timed street parking in Randwick and Clovelly, we’d recommend leaving a little extra time to find a space though as it can be a bit busy in peak times.

  4. Is there a cancellation policy?
Because there are limits on class sizes currently, we ask that you cancel 24 hours before the class to give waitlisted students or others time to get in.

We want to make sure everyone gets a chance to practice. That’s why it is so important that you turn up for your bookings, or let us know (preferably 24 hours) in advance of the class that you won’t be coming. No shows or late cancellations (less than 2 hours) will be charged a $15 cancellation fee.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of class. Anyone who hasn’t arrived 5 minutes before class may lose their place in class if there are students waiting. Thanks for your understanding!

  5. Can I put a hold on my pass or membership?
Yes, regular fortnightly, 6 month and annual members can put their passes on hold for up to 2 months. Please give us 1 week’s notice. Just get in touch and we can sort it out.

New to Yoga:

  1. What can I expect in my first class?
For your first class, come 10—15 minutes early so you can settle in to the space and ask any questions of your teacher. Our classes start at their scheduled time and the doors will be closed to prevent disruption to the class.

  2. What should I wear and bring?
Wear what you’d be comfortable stretching and sweating in. Bring a water bottle and a towel too.

  3. What class should I attend?
If you’re new to yoga or it’s been some time since you practiced regularly, we recommend starting with our Foundations class. The classes run at a slower and cooler pace focused on teaching foundations of yoga with lots of guidance and feedback. This is great for people new to yoga and anyone looking to improve their practice - no less of a challenge and a great first base to jump into a regular practice from.
