NEW TO YOGA?

We all know that your first yoga experience can be a little daunting. We have collated our most frequently asked questions from our new yogis below, if there is anything else you would like to do, feel free to contact us. We would love to hear from you!

What can I expect on my first class?

For your first class, log in ten minutes early so you can settle in to the space and ask any questions of your teacher. Our classes start at their scheduled time.

What should I wear?

Wear what you’d be comfortable stretching and sweating in. Have a water bottle and a towel handy too.

What class should I attend?

If you’re new to yoga or it’s been some time since you practiced regularly, we recommend starting with our Foundations class. The classes run at a slower and cooler pace focused on teaching foundations of yoga with lots of guidance and feedback. Yin is also a fantastic class to stretch out and cool down.

We hope to see you around the studio soon 💛

Tips for practicing successfully at home:

  • Remove any other distractions or noises. Close the door if you can.

  • Put your mat on a hard surface (i.e. floor boards rather than a rug)

  • Have your water and a towel handy

  • Use blocks if you have them. If you don’t have blocks, get creative! People have used water bottles, big thick books (Harry Potter!), tissue boxed, tins of beans etc. Tag us on socials!

  • Most importantly: Enjoy!
